ashes and snow, another fantastic exhibit of human expression

i have always had an interest in photography and to see the images that this man has created stuns me.

Since its debut in Venice in 2002, over 10 million people have attended Ashes and Snow by Gregory Colbert, an exhibition of more than 50 large-scale photographic artworks, a 60-minute feature film, and two 9-minute film haiku.

The Nomadic Museum, the permanent travelling home of Ashes and Snow, debuted in New York in 2005 and then migrated to Santa Monica, Tokyo, and Mexico City. Ashes and Snow at the Nomadic Museum will open in Brazil in 2009.

i invite you to follow the link to his site which is so kindly sponsored by the rolex institute.

i'd love to try make matzo balls (new to me, sounds Jap) but after ur comment on them having to turn out light i'd better not--i'm not fully satisfied with my scones n i imagine this must be one of those simple yet difficult things to make.

but hey, tt dinner looks superb, n i'm going to do tt soon, esp after all the heavy food last night. i had friends over last night (we sat out on the back patio, some out on the lawn--hehe, just to make u envious but really it was too hot n muggy) n we had roasted lamb bc the town's out of turkeys (but i still have one tucked away), roasted chicken, salads, soup, lots of wine n i made 3 desserts. n the reason i'm up so early this morning is tt i couldn't sleep after it hit me in bed last night tt my apple pie was very sour bc i put only 2 T sugar instead of 3/4 cup *sigh* am getting old n forgetful.

regards to u & ur mom:))
love this season n all my friends :))
